Absolute gem of a tea room. We loved the antique decor and nostalgic atmosphere with music from the 1920s to 1940s. The scones were perfect and the tea served in china cups from a proper teapot with a proper spout - no dribbles. It even had a tea cosy. Added to all this was the very reasonable price. Superb all round, thank you!
"Dressers Tea Room is a charming haven for tea enthusiasts. The ambience exudes quaint English charm, and the delightful spread of beautiful fruit scones and mouthwatering cakes, paired with aromatic Yorkshire tea, creates an unforgettable experience. Five stars for a perfect blend of elegance and indulgence!"
I enjoyed a well-prepared lunch of quiche & chips; the ambience is purposely old-fashioned and all the better for it. Service was swift and helpful. Sadly, the proprietors are closing it in December 2025, which is a great shame. I hope someone equally skilled takes over.
Victorian nostalgia café in Dorman Museum in Albert Park. Proper home made round tin cakes and not a mashed avocado in sight. Highly recommended.
Lovely venue if small - free parking nearby. Simple menu for a light lunch - popular with walkers from the park and visitors to the museum.
