The hospital is great as are the staff. Car parking average and expensive, just like most hospitals. At peak it is virtually impossible to find a space. Totally pissed off when I found out that nursing staff and unpaid trainees have to pay for their own parking.
The hospital has changed it's parking payment system. The parking is wholly overwhelmed with not enough spaces esp for disabled people. They haven't increased payment machines with the changes so one now queues to use one of the 2 machines in the reception area. For disabled people remember your car registration and take a picture of the bar code on back of blue disc so you can scan it at payment machine. It is still free but you have to register car. Be warned
Well managed to get parking spot . Just fell in lucky in disability parking . Mam had appointment and remembered to take her disability badge . Could do with more parking .
Large car park plenty of spaces bit more expensive than some other hospital car parks i have been to .when you arrive the parking eye gets your number plate so when you leave you pay in main foyer. They take cash or card . Once paid you drive away
It's wonderful, you can actually park a car in a bay there, provided you have a pass to get through the gate, of which I do not. It's still a spiffing car park though.
