I am pretty annoyed. Car park price is fair but number plate recognition doesnt work and access to the car park necessitates hearing accusatory statements such as "You need to be registered" (so havent followed policy) and "It takes time to be registered" (like you registered today) and "Maybe you are too local" (I live 30 miles away).
Cheap car park for students. £2 all day. Can't complain.
They only allow students who are not in ts1,ts2,ts3 and TS4 to use their car parks, anyone in those postcodes has to park in the street. That can prove VERY difficult if a students lecture doesnt start until 10 as there will be no spaces from around 9. Ridiculous So these students like me have to get up way earlier than what should be considered humane to get to university in time.
This is the 'long stay' / 'all day' car park £2 flat rate (Feb 2020) for students that must register for access in advance. It fills up quickly in a morning; but is reasonably secure and close to campus. The ticket machines are coins only. The Uni could take the payment from the TUSC card at the barrier as the food venues do, but have chosen not to - so expect to stand in a queue (longer if the machines have been vandalised as happens).
This place is very handful but if you are lucky enough to get some space. My courses are only on Monday and Tuesday but to get some place I should be in there around 8.15 max. If I came there a bit late then sorry.. In every meeting they have been told to administration this problem but never solved yet. I hope they can manage asap.
