When the cold weather hit, I was unable to pressurise my boiler, leaving me without heating or hot water and unable to bathe my children. I contacted S.C. Henderson & Son Ltd for help but received no response for three days. I was then told an engineer was finally on the way. While the engineer was driving over, I managed to get the boiler pressurised myself—after three days of relying on YouTube videos. When he arrived, I explained that the boiler was no longer an issue, but I did have a problem with my toilet. He inspected it, took some photos, and said he would get back to me. It has now been a month, and I have still heard nothing regarding the toilet repair. However, I have received a bill for £72 for “testing a boiler system,” which did not take place. At no point was I informed of such a call-out fee or any charge for work that wasn’t carried out.

A local tradesman who was doing work on our property recommended we contact S C Henderson to remove our old sink and to put in a new sink/vanity unit in our main en-suite which we had previously purchased online. As they were exceptionally busy with other projects we did have to wait a few weeks before they were able to do the work. But the wait was definitely worth it as the fitter did a superb job from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and we were kept fully informed of the work being done to ensure we were happy with the final finish. When the bill arrived a few weeks later it was very competitive. We have no hesitation in recommending S C Henderson for any future plumbing or works you require to your property. We will certainly use them again.

Very pleased with the work carried out by Gareth. He did a very good job and cleaned up after himself when finished. He was pleasant and polite and kept me informed of the job in hand. I had a couple of issues with the products and job dates but these were quickly resolved. I would recommend this company to others.

I had work done from these guys but there was a problem with the flooring. I contacted them and they didn’t look into it until 6 months later to then say you are now out of warranty we can’t help unless you pay again for the work. Very unprofessional and hard to get hold off if anything goes wrong. They threatened me with legal action if I post anything negative. They won’t respond to my emails. Forged a fake backdated receipt for the incorrect amount. They lie their way out and refuse to take ownership of their own mistakes

I’ve used this company for years . Always reliable and quality workmanship. Recently changed our old boiler to a combi boiler and they did an amazing job. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
