Caledonian Travel - Middlesbrough Travel Centre

Avoid Caledonian Travel - totally unreliable. They cancelled my Edinburgh Christmas Markets holiday with barely any explanation, despite it being 2 months away. When I called, they casually said "not enough bookings" - so they just scrap the trip and leave customers stranded. I've now wasted my annual leave because of their poor planning. If you value your time and money, do NOT book with Caledonian Travel.

Absolutely gutted chose day trip to Liverpool in April for my birthday phoned up to book as they had sent last yrs brochure instead of this years to be told they don't pick up in Stockton area for this trip only Darlington!

Just returned from llandudno 25th-28th july.Loved the destination ,journey was good and driver (Andy,)very pleasant and helpful. Stayed at the New Lorretta never again . Expected basic but this is dirty ,in desperate need of repair and staff rude. Our bedroom had a weed growing through the bathroom windowsill ,the bath panel was held on with a piece of folded pringle box,the door was very dirty and the wood was all split at the bottom . The bath sink and tiles were filthy.we had to leave curtains closed as anyone in houses opposite had full view of room. The bed was uncomfotable and springs dug into your back . The dining room had 12 tables squeezed into a space that would better accomodate 8 meaning everyone was packed like sardines. Only 1 waitress and food was awful . The packet salad had seen better days ,the chips cold,new potatoes under cooked mash powdered potatoe,veg soggy. Had to complete meal choice on morning to be told it was unavaiable at teatime. Surely Caledonian can do better than this

Having taken several trips with Caledonian last year (2004), we are back to book a whole lot more in 2025!! Including two European trips away (France & Ireland!). I have always booked my trips through the team at Middlesbrough office and they are superb. Special mentions to Michelle & Andy, they have excellent knowledge and deliver fantastic customer service. Highly recommended!

Xmas weekend, birmingham/Nottingham. Driver was lovely , Bosworth Hall room clean , food vile, after nearly choking on cling film mixed in with curry. Manager was far from professional, she asked what i would like to eat and drink I said water and cheese and onion sandwich would be fine she seemed gob smacked , she Brough chips salad and melted cheese with lots of pickle. Very attentive I don't think so , she practically accused me of trying to get a refund . She said we didn't put plastic in, on purpose and then asked if I was on bus trip , I said yes then she said well I carnt give you a refund I said I didn't ask for refund, very very very unprofessional, and very unacceptable. Food shouldn't be served full stop . Don't go here don't chance it
