All inclusive shopping. Great selection of goods found in a friendly atmosphere. Nicole’s own hand made items are of particular interest and beauty. Recently expanded (June 2025). Much more inside and easier to browse and access for wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Please ignore my rubbish photography skills as they really don't do my new points justice. This has just become my favourite shop having been too nervous to visit for a while. Nicole is lovely and evidently extremely talented, both in terms of the work she creates and her ability to build displays within the shop. I love the way it's a little oasis of calm in amongst the bustle of a busy town center. From bags to cups and crystals, this little gem of a shop has it all.

I've been to witchy shops in Edinburgh, London, and even abroad in Europe but Alta Ego is my absolute favourite shop that beats every single one of them! I adore this shop and everything is of the highest quality! The guy here gets in the rocks and has brilliant knowledge of the origins of each gemstone they get in (super green flag) and the lady here is the occultist with a vast array of knowledge on spirtual properties etc. Both of them are such a lovely couple and I cannot stress how much I enjoy coming here! Everytime I come back from university to visit my parents in the North East, I make sure to drag them out to drive me here.

This shop is a real hidden gem. Love everything about this shop. Crystals galore as well as lots of other products. The owners are lovely and so helpful. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. If you have never been before get yourself into the Dundas arcade. You won't be disappointed
