Originally installed in Victoria Gardens now Centre Square on June 18th 1999 for the Millennium. I can remember the digital clock counting down. Built by the Marske Machine Company it now stands in Ayresome Gardens which has some really nice landscaping with the huge yucca plants either side. The shields that are on the arches are from various schools, covering different subjects of the wheel, communication, animals, games, air travel, and clothes.
