Aitken House

Aitken House was the setting for a family get together, ages 1 to 70, and we all had a wonderful time. The property is beautiful inside and out with quality and comfort at the forefront of the owners' planning. The kitchen, dining and family space overlooking the garden and hot tub, was perfect for the family to be together throughout the day. Then two spacious lounges were perfect for quieter moments. The beautifully decorated bedrooms and the luxury bedding much appreciated. We loved our stay and highly recommend the house. Thank you Lisa and Nick.

I would have given this cottage 5 stars but it just fell short of my expectations, some of the kitchen floor tiles were broken, covered up with tape, one of the first floor bathrooms needed maintaining, also one of the outdoor chairs were faulty and dangerous. Some might say this is picky but it’s advertised as luxurious and priced at that level, it should have been perfect.

We stayed here over the new year period, there were two beautiful Christmas trees set up in the two front rooms. The house was absolutely immaculate, with all of the amenities a family group would need, There was heaps of space including 5 king/double rooms each with their own TV. There was also a bathroom, a shower room and toilet, as well as a driveway to fit all of our cars. The kitchen/diner/seating area is where we spent most of our time. So many beautiful attractions nearby to walk and end up in a nice small pub.

A lovely, modern, spacious and comfortable place in a beautiful area! Perfect for a relaxing getaway with friends and family. The host is helpful and responsive, and our stay was a delight all around!
