Walked this plenty of times, even cycled it as well. Can get from Dunford Bridge all the way through Penistone and onto Thurgoland. It is part of the C2C trans pennine trail which runs from Liverpool to Hull.....so you can walk miles. Odd few cafes along the way to Penistone from Dunford Bridge, and Penistone has plenty of shops/pubs.
Not the most scenic trail ,but a ride through industrial Sheffields past.
An absolutely beautiful walk!
Lovely place for a stroll. Great views. Disused railway so predominantly flat.
Great for cyclists and walkers loads of great views over looking countryside very easy on the legs
