A very nice local pub with a good selection of Beers (2 wickets both black sheep) and quite a few Euro lagers and ciders. The food was Very good indeed for the price and the service was exceptional. If you're passing on your travels definitely call in.
Had our christmas dinner today as a family of 8 ,cant fault this pub at all.it was very busy as it was christmas day but all the staff were pleasant and extremely helpful, however the main credit has to go to the chef /carvery chap who was absolutely brilliant. We've done a lot of carveries but this one is the best food nice and hot and tasted lovely. We all commented how much the chef was was lovely and very calm not stressed at all.we will definitely book for next year so thank you so much to everyone who made our christmas day so lovely π
Pub in itself is nice and looks well but I would no longer call this place a pub. Their focus is on average pub food and fresh food prices. We use to come regularly for drinks but drinks now seem unwelcome. We walked in at 9:45pm on a Friday only to have the last order bell hurriedly rung as we approached the bar. We will not be back!
Second visit to this place. First visit was great. Unfortunately second visit the meat was dry and overcooked. The veg was mushy. The place was fairly quiet as it was just after the Christmas holidays which would account for the slow usage and time spent on the warmer. Shame really. Staff were excellent and atmosphere very pleasant. Still good value for money. Will try again.
Thank you so much for helping with my nieces dietary problems. You were totally amazing, caring and very understanding. All our food was lovely, the service was spot on. However, you went above and beyond for my niece. Thank you so much, especially when you had a full Christmas restaurant π
