Mirfield Prestige

I bought a Mitsubishi L200 from this dealer after being told the car was in perfect condition. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Soon after buying it, I discovered serious problems, including a badly rusted frame and an engine that was running very unevenly. These were not small issues and made the car unreliable. I had to spend a few thousand pounds on repairs just to get the vehicle into a usable condition. I’m very disappointed with the experience and the lack of honesty about the car’s condition.

Absolutely fab service today (31/07/20). We bought a brilliant car; a Toyota Yaris in excellent condition. Saw the advert just what I was after. Had the vehicle saved for a few days so I could drive up to look at it, test drive it etc.... Lovely family-run business, felt welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. In fact whilst there to collect our new car we bought a van as well. Treated very well and would definitely recommend buying a vehicle from Mirfield Prestige.

Wish I had read the other reviews before buying from these people. Promised full service history and two keys upon purchase, no sign of either after 11 phone calls over two months later. How the car passed the "new" MOT they provided is a mystery as it had obvious fails that were not addressed but hey presto it came with a suspicious MOT certificate with not even any advisories from a different garage miles away the very same day! Car is riddled with expensive problems and these guys are not even slightly interested in customer service as soon as they have your money. Avoid Mirfield Prestige and buy from an honest dealership - the one star is a compliment.

Saw a motorcycle advertised at Valley 4x4 and Vans, on seeking out reviews read these and they did raise concern. It was a particular bike I was after and the ad said remarkable condition. It was 25 years old. I am in Glasgow, so called the business, spoke with Graeme about these reviews and my concerns, and proposed we do business in a manner where he took the risk. As it expected a lot from him I was surprised he agreed. Bike was delivered when he said it would be, bike is indeed in remarkable condition and I'm very, very pleased with it. 3 very minor issues with it, but I am realistic enough to realise I was buying a 25 year old bike. There was 1 minor issue in the transaction process, which when I raised it Graeme sorted literally immediately, noting this was after he had been paid. Would I do business again, yes, on the same terms, without question I wouldn't hesitate. My advice to people buying anything over the internet is to construct a contract where the risk goes to the third party, this is opposite to all contracts at the moment, where the consumer takes all the risk. All relevant communication should be in writing and all submissions to the third party shoud be acknowledged by the third party as agreed to. Your contract must be fair without unreasonable obligations on the third party to be seen as enforceable in law.

The guy couldn't lie straight in bed he's so crooked. Made a 5 hour round trip to view a vehicle that was amazing with little rust according to the advert. On arrival I asked if there were any issues I should know about, and was told not that they knew of. I inspected the wheel rear arch and it was masked with a piece of plastic... it was as rotten as a pear. The underneath was also bad. Looking at the vehicle I found a number of issues in a few minutes. Wish I'd read these reviews before bothering to make the trip. Avoid!!
