Honestly a big NO! We had booked in here as we were in 7 people and needed a cheaper option, but didn’t realise that cheap meant also this level of lack of care. As we arrived he reception was already dirty: the carpet was stained and had leaves on in, as they didn’t even pass the hoover. Going on to the corridor the carpet looked even more dirty, maybe because it was a slightly lighter colour, and the stains were showing more. There was also bad smell. Going on to our room there was another bad smell. As we were in 7 we had 3 different rooms and could compare them: these are supposed to have a minifridge, but ours (105) didn’t. They all have an old sofa and and armchair and they are stained as well. The walls are all scratched and in particular in room 107 there were dead spiders attached. In the bathroom of 105 there were hair in the tub drain, but I could not take piture because of poor lighting (even with the flash my phone could not capture the immage properly). The neon light in that bathroom was hanging oblique. In the 107 bathroom the floor has a scratch fixed with tape. In 108 bathroom there is no knob to turn the shower on. Also in that room the net curtain is scratched. The bed is very uncomfortable and you can feel the springs. Our mattress has also a hole and as you can see from the immage it turned yellow. However the sheets and towels were clean.

Really great location near a well stocked spa shop, shell fuel station and Starbucks. Room we had was quite tatty (105), beds not overly comfortable (very springy), and it smelt like cigarette smoke was engrained in the carpet and upholstery which was quite unpleasant. Shower was temperamental with lots of fine tuning needed for hot water. Staff on reception were perfectly pleasant. It served a purpose for us but could be so much better. A deep clean to begin with. Price and location very good. Nice steak house opposite too.

I shocked when I entered in hotel it was stinky.🤮. When I entered in room then my smell senses gone because of very bad smell inside.. I didn’t realise I am still in UK 🇬🇧. It was strange feeling like really this kind of hotel exists in the UK. Price was low but not that much low. This was My worst experience in my life. I think this hotel should be close due to health and safety… I was very tired that is reason I slept there because it was 9:30pm otherwise I changed hotel right away. I will not recommend to anyone for stay there

This hotel was, for sure, once a Days Inn. The photos you see on Google Maps are likely from that era. Now, the entire building, both exterior and interior, looks almost abandoned. My first bad impression upon entering was the intense, musty, confined smell. The carpets are a shambles, and much of the unpleasant odor probably comes from the carpeted floor. The rooms still have the amenities shown in the photo, but the condition is deplorable. I accept responsibility for choosing the place based on the price. But I never thought I'd find such a disgusting hotel and room. The next time I'm in the Wakefield area, or any other city, I won't be mindful of my wallet, but rather of my well-being and peace of mind.

If you just want a cheap night with absolutely no frills you will be fine. Horrible orange and purple in our room, horrible smell on bottom corridor, cups that are any good for a Dolls House they are that small. Everything about it shouted that it had seen far better days. The staff we met though werepolite and helpful. It could and should have an overhaul at least.
