Moor Monkton pools

First time going for the yearly charity fishing for Candlelighters. What a beautiful place. So peaceful and pretty. The three lakes are full of fish and there are birds everywhere, we heard more than we saw though! We saw ducks, geese and moorhens and caught four fish. We were glad to learn that this place is catch and release, and even happier with the fish friendly soft nets and barbless hooks. I'd highly recommend it even for amateur fishers like us if you're looking for a peaceful relaxing day out and love fishing.

Nit very nice weather but the fish was still bitting. Lovely relaxing place.

Not fished it for years probably nearly 20,when was carp Vale. Didn't recognise the place,comfy spacious pegs. Walked around the 2 bigger lakes,not the other nearer entrance. Had 4 carp out on pole,close in,mate 8 on feeder. Short session,owned by Leeds a/a ,day tickets available.Will be back! Bailiff on site,doing work when we there,very helpful.

Great place to fish some really cracking fish in the 3 lakes
