I have two children my oldest went to a nursery in Harrogate which i must say looking back was excellent. Due to a change in mine and my husbands work circumstances our daughter goes to Partou Nursery Lane. One thing i can honestly say is i dont feel as though this nursery is as clean as it should be. One thing which stood out to me on the taster session and even now on a daily basis is children in the below the age of 2 section are left with noses running all down their faces and all over their toys. Every single week my child is catching some sort of ilness or the other. I accept it is normal for a child to get il more frequently in nursery as my elder son did however not to this level. The cleanliness needs to be improved. I mentioned this to a staff member and she did not even acknowledge my concerns which is what has lead to me leaving this review. All the staff need to do is use a tissue and wipe the snot from baby noses everytime they see it running. This then stops it getting on toys and their hands and then spreading to other children. Also regular deep cleans of all areas and toys not just when outbreaks happen. Hence the saying prevention is better than cure. One week my daughter comes home with a bad cough and cold, the next week vomitting after every feed, the next week diarrhoea and it just goes on. It is actually relentless i feel as though partou need to do more to keep the children and nursery clean.

My daughter goes here and my child comes back with paint all over her clothes and a sore bottom. The room leader of the baby room is so rude and not professional at all. She needs to speak politely to others and be more professional with her job. Honestly disappointed.

I'm heartbroken by the discrimination my disabled son faced at Partou Nursery Lane. As a non-verbal, autistic, deaf 2-year-old with special care needs, he deserved support but instead experienced inconsistent care: he was left laying in cold wet grass in winter, he'd come home hungry, dehydrated, with soiled nappies, and it was clear he'd been poorly supervised. Managers ignored emails and calls, refusing to discuss his SEN support, meaning he missed out on help he needed. Staff often asked me to pick him up early when he cried rather than trying to support him. Interactions became uncomfortable and dismissive once I raised concerns. I removed him as I no longer felt confident his needs were understood or prioritised. He was discriminated against for being disabled, despite being a lovely boy who plays nicely and independently. Once I stated the negligence he was experiencing, they pushed us away and didn't try to improve. I'm sharing this so SEN parents can make an informed choice.

Review is based on my very limited experience with this nursery. After I finally managed to get through to family care (extremely difficult to contact them) team to book a visit to this nursery, manager there initially refused to show me the nursery saying family care has got the appointment wrong. Imagine my reaction as I had freed up my morning just to visit this nursery. After a lot of discussion, she did finally show me around the nursery but all that shouldn't have happened in the first place
