First came to the myrtle back end of 2024 when my boyfriend took me for food and since then we have gone back regularly ever since. We have gone on many occasions to rock and roll bingos, Sunday Lunches, just for drinks or a midweek meal. This pubs atmosphere is like no other, it is warm, welcoming, friendly and probably the most fun I’ve ever experienced. All the staff are so lovely and cannot do enough for you. We have always been served by the lovely Danielle who is absolutely amazing. The beer garden is also perfect in summer with plenty of space and green areas to find a seat right next to the cricket club. Would highly recommend!

Visited for Christmas dinner on busy Saturday night. Bookings are required for sit down dinners (family of 4 booked weeks in advance). Nicely decorated both inside and out with Christmas regalia. Food took longer than 30-40mins but it was during peak time, early evening. Service was good. Food was standard fare but atmosphere and sense of occasion were the real winners .

my wife and i had lunch here, the service and food were excellent and the atmosphere was very Christmassy with the smell and taste of mulled wine, the background music was all relevant songs from every period. i now go here at least once a week

I went for a roast dinner here and left very disappointed. Given the high prices, I expected excellent food and service, but that wasn’t the case. My roast beef was served cold and had to be sent back. While the staff replaced it within about 5 minutes, my mother was left sitting with her food going cold while we waited. For the price point, this should never have happened. When the replacement arrived, it was at least hot, but the beef was on the fatty side and not what I would call good value. What really let the experience down was the attitude: when I raised the issue, the response was dismissive — “I changed it within 5 minutes” — and there was no apology, discount, or goodwill gesture to acknowledge the inconvenience. Overall, overpriced for the quality received and disappointing customer service. I wouldn’t rush back.

This was my local for so many years and whenever i’m back in Leeds I love coming back. Food is good but i’d say a little overpriced. Staff are polite, friendly and attentive.
