I visited at 4:30 pm on a Saturday for a pint, a read, and a light bite; so just before it got busy. Had the loaded natchos - £12, which were nice. They have a mexican menu, up to £24+ I've not tried anything else yet off the menu, hence the 4 not 5 stars. Nice atmos, friendly staff and locals. It's a small bar down stairs but there is a larger additional space upstairs which is also used occasionly for private functions. Also seating outside.
Well I must admit cocktail bars are not really my thing as ive been to a few of the large chains and it's basically a little spirit and a lot of ice, not Number 8 though. Number 8 is a proper cocktail bar with real mixologists, and a great menu with decent beer on for people like me, there was a pilsner on keg, Bavo, also Kirkstall virtuous, also on keg, and a fine selection of bottles and cans. I could smell food cooking, which smelled lovely but nobody was eating and i couldn't find a menu so can't rate that section. As cocktail bars go this is the real deal.
Second time I’ve been to this little gem in Meanwood. Great atmosphere, the service was fantastic, the cocktails were really good and the food tasted amazing!!!
Wow. Best Mexican food in Leeds. Such a lovely bar too with amazing and friendly service. Could not recommend more!! Absolutely worth a visit.
