Capri Chapel Allerton

Came here just wanting some good food after a blood test and honestly didn’t plan on filming at all… but the food had other ideas :) Went to Capri Chapel Allerton for a chill brunch and it felt so welcoming from the moment we walked in. We ordered the carbonara and a fruit pancake and it was exactly the kind of chill, comforting meal I needed. A small, intimate restaurant with an authentic wide menu for reasonable prices. Me and my partner ordered food from the specials list and wow the scallops were immaculate, we both had a pasta main which we loved, and were appropriately sized portions, served with complimentary bread which was a nice touch! The staff were friendly, we will definitely be back.

We've been here a couple of times now, but unfortunately won't be returning. Visited for a late lunch when the restaurant was rather quiet with only two other tables taken. I like the intimate atmosphere of the small restaurant, however service was underwhelming, we kept feeling rushed to leave as the lady serving us came to clear our glasses multiple times after finishing the main course, even though we were still dirnking! Food was really quite average and not what I would expect at this price point - king prawn starter was served with fresh salad placed on top of the warm chilli and garlic sauce, making it soggy and inedible; tomato soup tasted as bought from the supermarket; pizzas were a real disappointment as not freshly made in the restaurant and the chicken came with very average white cream sauce. Unfortunately, we found it not an authentic Italian place in comparison to so many brilliant restaurants around.

We were a party of 16 out for Sunday afternoon food. The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. And the food was great, we must have sampled most of the menu between us! Would definitely recommend the lobster ravioli. Will definitely be back, thank you so much.

Called here Sunday lunchtime and we received a warm welcome at this clean and tidy establishment. The starters of tomato & basil soup & garlic mushrooms accompanied by fresh bread & butter were all delicious. The mains were mushroom pizza & a garlic & tomato pizza both of which were excellent. The lasagne was also delicious, my only slight niggle is that it would have been perfect with a little more meat. The service was impeccable. The coffee is fantastic. Parking is good.
