Always had a fabulous experience. Reading other reviews I’m astounded. I see a female dentist (sorry I can’t remember her name) she is lovely , very thorough and takes her time. I have never experienced anything but warmth on any of my visits.
Worst dentist I’ve seen to date. Referred through 111 , receptionist noted down my name incorrectly on the forms I had to fill so I called up to correct this and she was in such a rush to get me of the phone. When I actually got seen the dentist took less than 30 secs at looking in my mouth when I questioned this He made embarrassing statements about my gum health which were extremely degrading and unprofessional . He didn’t want to carry out extensive treatment as I came through the nhs and advised if I went down that route he would refer me elsewhere. Told me he wouldn’t waste an xray on me . Told me to ring 111 again if I wanted the treatment . Would not recommend anyone to go here .
An emergency appointment. 111 messed up and the receptionist still got me in after the mess up. So full praise for that. The dentist was very polite and understanding and very informative unlike other dentists I have been to.
On behalf of someone else…. Charge private treatments without saying, when its a nhs appt. Make assumptions and dont discuss with the clients resulting in fines, even though they admit fault they do not rectify their mistakes. The appts are also very rushed, no warmth from dentist just rush jobs without any discussion etc.
I called and explained my situation to a receptionist, telling her that I was at work and urgently needed an emergency appointment because my original one had been cancelled. I was informed earlier that I could rebook an emergency slot to suit my schedule. She kept me on the phone for about 20 minutes, repeatedly putting me on hold and coming back. Eventually, she passed the call to someone else, but it felt like I was speaking to two inexperienced children. The second receptionist made me provide all of my information again, which was frustrating and unnecessary. After 45 minutes on the phone with no progress, I decided to go directly to the dental practice to complain. When I arrived, the receptionist at the desk displayed very rude body language and an unprofessional attitude. She laughed off my emergency situation, even though I was in pain and urgently needed to see a dentist. This was extremely offensive. She smirked, shrugged me off, and even teased me by saying no one was available and that I should come back later. To make matters worse, she mocked both my accent and my situation. This was deeply disrespectful, and I had to call her out on her unprofessional behavior. Another concerning issue is that whenever I visit, I notice a clear difference in how patients are treated. If an Asian patient walks in, especially women wearing a hijab, the staff behave very politely and even speak to them in their own language at times. But if you are not Asian, and especially if you are also not British, the treatment is shockingly poor, dismissive, and disrespectful. Overall, the reception staff were: Extremely rude and unprofessional Distracted, texting and chatting while dealing with patients Completely lacking care or empathy for patients Displaying childish and even abusive behavior Showing inconsistent and discriminatory treatment based on ethnicity and background
