Doctors are good in my experience. However getting an appointment is next to near impossible. The reception staff are atrocious in the smallest task, especially those of booking an appointment; and logging it correctly. They don’t respond to requests well. Having been a patient at Rutland Lodge for pretty much my entire adult life, I never had a bad word to say of that practice. The reception staff at Rutland Lodge were impeccable at their jobs. Diamond Medical Group has taken a perfectly good doctor’s surgery ( Rutland Lodge) , that ran like an extension of family; and turned it into a shambles of incompetence. This new group practice ( Diamond Medical Group), and centralised reception staff, renders services and accessing those services near to impossible. The reception staff are also ‘unbelievably rude.’ The reception staff show total disregard towards patients within their charge. Not a particularly caring organisation whatsoever. A few kind words, and a little kindness, and they wouldn’t antagonise someone such as myself; at all! Perhaps the reception staff should be trained in human compassion and decency. If not for certain trusted doctors from Rutland Lodge, that I’ve known many years, I’d certainly not have any reason to stay with this organisation. Clearly for convenience, and for the intermediate future, I will remain. I do intend my concerns heard. I shan’t be going anywhere. If not responded or dealt with internally, upon request, then shall share on Google for all those that read this review, to be informed.

I received very poor care here. I was dismissed on several occasions where my aggressive fast growing cancer could have been caught. I was coughing for over a month and kept being turned away despite the fact that if you’re over 40 with a persistent cough (more than 3 weeks) in Leeds you can self refer for a chest x-ray. I was also told that I had pulled a muscle in my back when I saw a doctor for a deep back pain with blood in my urine. I felt completely dismissed and no one ever followed up my symptoms. Now looking at the symptoms for the cancer that they have just removed, I see that what I was complaining of could have been spotted If they actually respected and listened to their patients instead of dismissing them as malingering idiots. Thankfully, I moved and transferred GP surgery. They got me a CT scan immediately and I was having surgery to remove a large muscle cancer within weeks. Had clinicians at Shadwell medical Centre/diamond group actually listened to me, this cancer could have been caught at a much earlier stage. I’m not someone to leave negative reviews but the lack of care that I got with this practice was really dangerous and I would like this handed back to clinicians for them to reflect on.

Don't recognise these reviews. Have been with this practice over 30 years and have never had any problems. Nearly always get a same day appointment and the staff and doctors are always pleasant.

I would like to say big thank you for all staff from Shadwell Lane, but special for Izabela, who is a pharmacy and doctor Atkin ♥️

Edith was the only good receptionist I have come across there, if you go in ask for her she was so helpful. She explained everything fully and booked me in for an appointment right there and then.
