Our experience with Ison Harrison has been extremely stressful and disappointing. We were assigned a solicitor who, in our case, provided information that turned out to be inaccurate on several occasions. As a result, we incurred unexpected additional costs of approximately £6,500 during our house purchase. Following this, our case was passed to another solicitor. After completion and moving into the property, we were contacted two weeks later and informed that there had been a calculation error and we now owed a further £1,083. We challenged this, as the mistake was not ours. The complaint was escalated to a manager, who advised us to contact the Ombudsman, which we have done and are currently awaiting a response. While waiting for the Ombudsman’s outcome, we then received an email stating that if we did not pay half of the amount within 7 days, the matter would be passed to an external agency, which could affect our credit rating. We have attempted to contact Ison Harrison multiple times by phone and email following that message, but we have not received a response. This entire situation has caused significant stress after what should have been a positive milestone. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend ensuring that all costs are clarified in writing and that you request clear confirmations at every stage. We are hopeful the Ombudsman will help resolve this fairly.

Terrible communication. As a first time buyer I was not clear of the process. I did not see anyone in person and the customer service was incredibly poor. Many of my requests were not completed and when I complained nothing was addressed. I found the process extremely stressful and undermining

Many thanks to Gerladine and Kelsey for handling the sale of our commercial property. All was made very straightforward despite a quite demanding buyer. Fast communication throughout. Thank you.

I used Ison Harrison to purchase a property, they were the worst solicitors I have ever dealt with. I had to chase them up constantly, they never explained the process to me (as I was a first time buyer), and whenever I left messages they never called me back. I used to leave messages with the assistant asking for my solicitor to call me back and when I speak to him he would say that he hasn't received any messages. I would often receive documents with incorrect information on, which I then had to inform my solicitor to correct and send me the correct copies, he never did and just proceeded as if I never asked for anything - he would just ignore my emails. When it came to the final stages of purchasing the house, the solicitor informed me that he contacted the bank couple of days ago, however when I called the bank myself they told me that he only phoned the same day that I was supposed to get the keys for the house, so he lied to me. Till this day, I am still chasing them up to send me the documents for the property that I have purchased. I don't recommend anyone using these solicitors.

A big thank you to Megan Spur from Leeds office on settling my personal injury claim. She’s been nothing but helpful.
