There is nothing wrong with this shop other than that, by design, it's smaller and therefore more crowded by items compared to others, which makes it harder to browse. There is always a large selection of clothes, scarves, quite a few books and also a pottery section with kitchen items and decorations. I sense less enthusiasm from the workers/volunteers compared to other shops, I hope they are treated well and they are happy there.

I used to really rate this shop in terms of stock/prices and how friendly the volunteers were. Sadly it's gone downhill. The prices of donated items often seem high for the quality and a lot of the shop is now dedicated to low quality new goods. Part of my reason for shopping in charity shops is sustainability/ethics and, for me, cheaply made new goods completely fly in the face of that (it's hard to imagine they are raising a great deal for the charity either). There are no changing rooms to try on items and it's become much more cramped too.

I find the bad reviews really harsh considering it’s a charity shop. I live locally and visit regularly. It’s a shop that serves the community well, and I’ve only ever experienced really nice people working and volunteering there.

Always priced up far too high. No bargains here. More expensive than vinted/ebay. Price items to sell, not linger on the rack.

I am disappointed by the disgraceful customer service at Mind Charity Shop in Moortown, Leeds. My husband and I purchased two high cost items and due to the lack of a changing room, we had no choice but to take them home to try on. Despite being our size, the items did not fit so I returned to the shop the same day, only to be informed that they operate on an exchange-only policy—no refunds or credit notes. I searched the shop again, but there was nothing suitable. We went away shortly after and returned on what happened to be the 30th day since purchase—just two days outside their punitive 28-day exchange policy. This included several Sundays when they were closed, yet they flatly refused to take into account the circumstances of not being able to get to shop because of being away, or their own weekend opening hours. Instead, they coldly insisted on sticking to their rigid policy, showing zero flexibility or compassion. As a mental health charity, I would expect them to display a degree of empathy and understanding, but instead, they caused me unnecessary stress and upset. Their so-called "policy" is grasping, unworkable, and frankly feels like theft. They now have the items I paid for, and I am left with nothing but frustration and disappointment. The manager and her volunteer were utterly useless and lacked even a basic sense of customer service. This experience has left a bitter taste, and I will not be supporting this charity again. I strongly advise others to be cautious when shopping here—they clearly value their rigid policies over customer care and basic human decency.
