Tesco Express

Basically been accused of shoplifting in this store this evening by a horrible female Asian staff member who could barely speak English. Just because I was looking around for something I couldn't find whilst holding a bag before leaving this automatically meant I had put something in it, she demanded to see what was in it. I have never stolen a thing in my life - if Tesco are that paranoid invest in some security guards, I'm sure you can afford to. Safe to say I'll never be stepping foot inside this dreadful store again.

Wouldn’t accept a teaching ID for buying an energy drink, despite the fact you obviously would need to be over the age of 16 to be a teacher. Assuming it was the manager, less than impressed and patronising, rude woman.

Visited for the first time and had a very poor experience. The selection of stock is not great, with very few vegan options and absolutely no vegan (or vegetarian) sandwiches available. The staff were not observing social distancing so I felt very uncomfortable. I politely asked one staff member if I could access the area he was stocking as I didn't want to invade his space. He said it was fine but remained in the same place despite nearby signage indicating a 2-metre distance should be observed so I still couldn't get what I needed comfortably. I'll stick to the other, better food shops in the area in future.
