Wide open space to let your dog run around. Well maintained by Leeds city council.
Good walk and run for the dogs to be without a lead
Vastly improved since they put the trees in. Drainage is now top notch. Recommended fields of Leeds. Ace. Clearly this is just bizarre that Google wants me to praise mud and grass, but this is the world we live in.
At the moment it is waterlogged. So very slippy and squelchy but when dry this is a great place for a walk or games. Hopefully the new trees that have been planted will eventually soak up some of the excess moisture.
Open space in Moortown, North Leeds. Used to have football pitches but ground has tendency to become waterlogged. Tree-planting done in 2018 at both ends to alleviate this problem. More trees planted some 25 years ago on Northern edge; more established woodland and short walks on its North-West corner. Traces of an old Victorian building are still just about recognisable in this woodland. This old building was locally known as King Alfred's Castle - from where Field and local streets derive their name. Remains of old stone boundary walls of farmland from first part of 20th century still just traceable. Main users now are perhaps dog walkers, though children and families will be seen there on sunny summer days.
