Alison is the real deal. She has a detailed and passionate knowledge of Pilates and the body. She spends time providing a range of exercises and careful corrections. She's humorous, friendly and committed. I've been to many other Pilates classes and this is the best. The men only class is a rare and welcome class.
I love my weekly class with Alison! She explains things carefully, shows how the exercises help different parts of your body & gives options to test yourself too. Both physically and mentally, pilates really helps me. Would heartily recommend - give it a go!
Would highly recommend Alison Plant Pilates. Attending the weekly class has ensured that my back is strong and I honestly miss the class if I can’t make it. Alison explains all the moves clearly and ensures variety each week.
I’ve been attending Alison’s Pilates classes for 18 months now and was a novice when I started. Alison is welcoming and friendly and an excellent teacher, explaining things well and gently correcting when necessary. I highly recommend Alison’s classes for beginners, and those who have more experience.
Following treatment for a slipped disc I was advised to try Pilates - the variety of exercises have definitely led to better balance and flexibility. I am using ‘muscles’ I don’t normally use and my back pain has reduced. Instructions from Alison are clear and she gives individual instructions to ensure everyone is undertaking the exercises correctly or in a manner suitable for their age, aims or physical condition. I always sleep well after this class 😴
