Songbird Sanctuary

What a stunning set up. The whole evening experience was a wind down and preparation for a good nights sleep. A gentle yoga nidra session followed by some simple tips and breath work ideas for helping induce sleep. Then out into the beautifully landscaped garden to step into the sauna. See photo hats help to protect your hair from drying out and also maintain heat temperatures when popping out to the cold plunge. I have never been a fan of the cold water phenomenon but my mind has been officially changed. Having got so hot in the sauna it was actually refreshing and quite bearable at 9degrees. I may have only lasted a minute but the effects hit me immediately. A gorgeous tingling all over body feeling and mind clarity. Just enough time left to dry off back in the gorgeous yoga studio where we were served Fresh Thyme Tea and home made peanut butter cookies and protein balls. Alice is a delight, cool, calm and full of interesting bits of useful practices. It was a great Birthday present idea for my best friend who loved it as much as I did. Cant wait to return for more sessions. It really is a sanctuary to close off from the real world for a few hours. I highly recommend this experience.

Myself & my friend visited Songbird Sanctuary for a silent sauna session on Sunday evening & what a magical experience it was. We felt like were in an enchanted garden - the surroundings are beautiful! The sauna was lovely & hot on our arrival with relaxing music and beautiful essential oils. Sitting in the plunge pool amidst the all the trees and plants was extra special, so peaceful & grounding. Would highly recommend this place, Alice was extremely welcoming!

Songbird Sanctuary is incredible. Alice has created a beautiful space, and with her welcoming and kind energy the whole experience is very special! I can't recommend Songbird Sanctuary enough. If you're on the fence about going I would 1000% encourage you to get booked in. I attended the Seasonal Sauna and Sleep session and it was everything I could have wanted. Thanks Alice, I'll be back!

What a wonderful way to end the year; the journalling and contrast therapy group session with Alice was a real treat. I've been to a few of Alice's sessions since she opened Songbird Sanctuary and I always leave feeling better than when I arrived. More relaxed. Or more energised, depending on the session. Alice is the perfect host. I've been making it my mission to regularly treat myself to the Songbird events and will continue to do so in 2026 - and I love reading the newsletter too. I'd recommend signing up to it to get early notice on new upcoming events, and lovely recipes and other info. Congratulations Alice on creating a such a haven in north Leeds.

I booked in for a private sauna experience with a friend and was delighted by the experience. Alice our host made us feel welcome and we loved the beautiful surroundings, the sauna was hot and the cold plunge was ideal to cool down in. It was a perfect way to spend a Sunday morning. Would definitely recommend!
