We experienced a profoundly disappointing Sunday Roast, arguably the worst we have ever encountered. While I seldom provide negative feedback, the quality of this meal was exceptionally poor, particularly given the Β£130 cost. My extensive review history attests to my usual positive feedback. The food presentation was unappetizing, resembling a haphazard pile. The roast potatoes were burnt, the meat was tough and leathery, and the vegetables were watery, mushy, and flavorless. The Yorkshire pudding was the sole palatable item. Furthermore, the dish was smothered in an overly seasoned, thick gravy with an unpleasant, perfumed taste. The gravy's consistency was more akin to a blended casserole, which was entirely unappealing. We attempted to salvage the meal by removing the unusually flavored gravy and consuming a small portion of the meat, ultimately leaving approximately 80% of our food, as evidenced by the accompanying photographs. Additionally, the inclusion of garlic butter on the mashed potato sides was an unusual and incongruous choice for a traditional Sunday Roast. One member of our party opted for the Guinness pie instead of the roast, which was found to be excessively dry and overcooked. The accompanying chips were also burnt. Moreover, we encountered an instance of unprofessional conduct from a member of the bar staff. My 78-year-old father approached the bar for drinks when it was completely empty, with no other patrons awaiting service. He was informed that he had approached the incorrect side of the bar, having missed a small sign directing patrons to the other side, a mere three feet away. Despite his apology and explanation that he had not seen the sign, the staff member stated, "I will serve you this time, but next time you won't be served." This attitude was quite frankly, shocking. We will not be returning to this establishment.

Fabulous and phenomenal food. Worth every single penny. Even though I'd booked for the wrong weekend, the accomodated us. Staff were perfect and even boxed up the meals we couldn't finish. Dessert, out of this world.

I had a fantastic time celebrating my Mum’s birthday! Despite the place being packed, Amy made us feel really special with her warm welcome and spot-on menu recommendations. The food and drinks were top-notch, and the entire atmosphere was just perfect. Plus, she checked in on us throughout our meal, which made everything feel extra personalised. Can’t wait to come back!

Came here for a Sunday roast catch up with friends. The food was tasty. The staff were nice. We had beef, pork, and butternut squash roast. The Yorkshire puddings were massive and very pleased with them. The food was very good, but I'm not giving a 5 as I wasn't blown away. But it was by no means bad. Very nice spot. We also had pudding which was nice, we had the fruit crumble, sticky toffee and ice cream

We recently moved to the area and are trying out a few of the local pubs/restaurants. Lovely pub inside, beer garden looks very well set up for good weather. The food was absolutely great, one of the best pub steaks we've ever had, quality food and service. They know what they are doing.
