Swaledale Woollens

I’ve been looking for a flat cap for ages. I finally found one at Swaledale Woollens. Great choice of fabric and all sizes were in stock. Reasonably priced too. Happy days.

Came across this shop while out on my Grandma's favourite walk - she was also an avid knitter. Fantastic selection of knitwear, from jumpers to gloves and all very reasonably priced considering they are made by hand! I have also bought several balls of wool from the shop, both in person and over the phone/via email. The ladies are always extremely helpful, the wool is great quality and always arrives very swiftly and well packaged. Very happy to support the British wool industry and this local business.

Absolutely love Swaledale Woollens. I have purchased multiple knitwear items from the shop (both in person and online/by email) for myself and loved ones. The quality is superb- beautiful, warm wool, knitted exquisitely and I love that each item comes with a swing tag with the name of the person who hand-knitted it. So charming. For a 100% wool item that is hand-knitted, I find the prices incredibly fair. The postage is always incredibly speedy too. I can't wait to one day find myself close enough to Muker to visit in person again. Highly recommend.

Super choice of woollens for all. Very reasonable prices for the quality of the garments. If looked after, the jumpers last years as i can confirm from a previous purchase made 25 years ago and still going strong. The drive from Wensleydale to the shop covers spectacular views across the moors. Well sign posted and easy parking. Well worth a visit.

Quality British woolen jumpers, beautifully handcrafted. What a selection. I have come back after 14 years when a jumper I bought has lasted all this time and is quality through and through.
