Room very clean, lovely and cosy, secure and warm. Massive shower. Only downsides was the breakfast, wasnt hot and over cooked eggs and no mushrooms. 21.80 for a small and large and two hot drinks, Wasn't no complimentary tea or coffee in the room like all other hotels I've been in. even though their was a kettle and two cups. Lady was inviting and polite who showed us to our room. Wasnt given the WiFi password which would of been very handy. Price of pints in the pub (Carling) ranged from £6+ then £5+ the following day but on the price list it was £4.50. strange!! But for £75 for two days it's not bad. Not sure we will be visiting again which is a shame as it's a nice set up.
Room mostly clean, massive with good amenities especially considering prices, although I would have expected shower gel at least. Staff very friendly, and good food and pub downstairs. Felt very secure with multiple locked doors between your room and the street. Vending machine handy for after hours as not many shops near by.
Disappointed as they cancelled with little notice and no explanation We booked and paid through hotels.com based on good reviews, received a welcome email asking to book direct in the future with a voucher for a free coffee but the booking was cancelled less than 24 hours beforehand without explanation. Tried to rebook, spoke to a man but got a text a couple of hours later saying they couldn’t take the booking. Multiple requests for an explanation of why they’d cancelled our booking were ignored. Left not knowing if the hotel or the booking agent made the error. Because we didn’t get a chance to see the rooms we can’t give star ratings.
Great hotel perfect location for the 90s fest this year. Will definitely be booking for next year. On suite bathroom was great. 2 double beds and a single. Slept us all perfectly. As it's a pub that serves all drinks bar snacks and food. It's a great place for a stay in Sheffield
Had a wonderful stay at the Don Valley Hotel and wished I could have stayed longer. The friendliness of Scott and his staff was amazing and I felt like a VIP because of the great service. The dinner was superb and would heartily recommend the chicken pie! Looking forward to staying there again when next I visit Sheffield
