“THE Greedy Greek Deli” has been a part of Sharrow Vale Road now for 16 years and has continued to grow and evolve in to more than just a Deli.
Today’s business consists of a small production kitchen near Chesterfield where our Greek chefs make our delicious food.
The Deli on Sharrow Vale Road is buzzing keeping Dennis and the team busy with those yummy wraps and delicious Greek Meals. A chance to dine Mediterranean style. Also Working with Just-Eat and our own app we provide an extensive delivery service, we deliver lunch time as well as evenings and are open 7 days a week from 10am to 10pm,
The Greek Deli Direct, Caters for Party’s, Weddings , Business lunches and Meetings, and now outside events with our mobile unit.
There are now lots of different ways you can enjoy delicious home made Greek Food.

Ordered a delivery and food arrived cold. Called to complain and was told a new order would be sent. All acceptable. Then owner called to say that he had watched video footage and accused me of lying. I will never use this company again. Disgusted by the phone call. Would not recommend!!!! Total waste of £40!! Having now read other customer reviews, I’m even more furious that I was accused of lying when others complain of food being cold!!!
We ordered a take away so can’t comment on the atmosphere. This meal was absolutely shambolic. Chips cold and stale. Vine leaves freezing in the vegetarian meal and no rice. salad a half attempt at a Greek salad, tomatoes on the turn. Luke warm meat in the mixed plate meal. It is as though it’s been sat and forgotten about. The Greek sausage was good though cold. I seldom leave poor reviews but standards need addressing here as we were recommended by locals. Poor show!!
Delivery driver was awful so aggressive. Banging on my door so loudly. So abruptl when I answered.. went to see the owner about the driver’s behaviour.. Accused of smelling of alcohol ..and tried to be discredited.. My daughter confirmed the behaviour to the owner.. promised full refund through just eat…. Never happened.. very disappointing after such a promise
We visit Greedy Greek when we crave their delicious lemon potatoes… we travel from Doncaster as this place really is the best Greek Gyros wrap we have found! The owner and staff are always very welcoming and the owner goes out of his way to welcome you in (and always recognises us even though we visit infrequently which makes us feel like part of the family) I would highly recommend the Lemon Potatoes and I have the halloumi and chorizo wrap! Thank you again Greedy Greek and we will see you soon!
I ordered the eat in Traditional Pork Gyros Wrap which their menus has at £8.25. Delicious. Just checked my online banking. Was charged £18.75! Did they misunderstand? Did they think I was asking for a main meal? No idea but I was clear what I pointed to on the menu when I ordered and my lesson learned is always check the card reader when you pay. Shame. Liked it there but never returning.
