Best Dr surgery I've ever been to. Amazing reception staff, super friendly. So easy and fast to make an appointment. All the dr's are good but Dr Benn is just fantastic, really takes the time to listen to you and suggests good options. Best Dr I've ever been to. It's very appreciated and I feel lucky knowing that if anything goes wrong that I can rely on seeing good doctors in a timely manner. Thank you!

Everyone seems to be polite and tries to be helpful at the medical centre but unfortunately the quality of administration and attention to detail can be poor. If you have a long-term condition or something that deviates from their standard ‘script’ it seems to trip them up and has led to lots of mistakes and admin on behalf of the patient. They are well meaning but difficult to get the right answers. I’m aware this is not an isolated incident as is affecting another person I know who needs long-term care. I’ve raised a complaint which I have never done before. Should this be handled well I’d be happy to add an edit to this review.

I’ve been going to this surgery now for about 14 years. I recently needed an appointment for a constant headache and was sent to another surgery as the above couldn’t fit me in. Whilst there, the new doctor questioned why nobody had investigated my high blood pressure. I had no idea. Due to the new doctors instruction, Greystones organised a nurse to take my blood pressure which was sky high. The nurse was supposed to call me back, she never did. My wife called and arranged another appointment for the nurse to call me which she then did. She said she would organise a prescription for me to pick up from my local Boots, she didn’t. I had to call the following week to organise the prescription myself. Now to today…. due to the potential damage my medication can cause to my liver, I was given an appointment to return to Greystones today for a blood test to check my liver function. I received a reminder this morning then a phone call almost immediately after to tell me it was cancelled. My mother died of a stroke at my age, if it was down to Greystones, I suspect I’d be going the same way. What an atrocious way to treat a patient. Edit: just to cap it off, I was sent a text after the above to go to the drive in phlebotomist that closes at 5pm. I arrived at 4:15 and wasn’t allowed in due to the queue. Really, could things get any worse? Three weeks later….. I’m about to run out of blood pressure tablets and heard nothing from Greystones medical centre. I think I’m supposed to have another blood test for liver function and don’t know if I’m going to get a repeat prescription, if the pills are damaging my liver, are the pills working? I know nothing. My wife called the surgery to try to find out what is going on and I’ve received a text telling me that ‘my request will be reviewed within two days’! My pills run out in two days. No idea what the ‘request’ is! Seriously, how worse can patient care really get? I’ve absolutely no idea what is going on.

I was a patient here back in 2012 when I 1st lived on Ecclesall Road. I should have really stayed registered here but I moved to another Postcode. All the staff is lovely from the admin to the Nurse and the.Doctor. Very caring practitioners. I can highly.recommend this GP Surgery. Thanks Anila Giatsai
