Porterbrook - Pharmacy and Weight Loss Clinic

The most efficient, amenable, helpful , understanding and supportive staff. I have often found staff in GP surgeries and pharmacies sometimes aloof and judgemental. The staff at Porterbrook, in particular the main pharmacist, Mohammed, take time to get to know you and always greet you with a friendly 'hello'. Where I once dreaded going to pharmacy I now actually enjoy the experience!

This used to be a place where you were greeted with a warm smile and really helpful good service. It made coming to the surgery a pleasant experience. Yesterday the service was unfriendly, even surly, with no sense of urgency even though there was a queue. It’s such a shame. And such a different experience. Maybe some staff training would help? The pharmacist is not included in this feedback.

The staff were very helpful the other day. My prescription initially went to another pharmacy who then said they never received it. I thought it might have been sent to Porterbrook instead, but they didn't have it either. Porterbrook Pharmacy investigated this for me and liased with the other pharmacy and the GP surgery next door. They were able to help me get the initial prescription cancelled and a new prescription was sent straight away to Porterbrook Pharmacy instead. Even though I was not their customer at first they were very helpful and listened to my problem and found a solution.

Great pharmacy - last year they identified that I had shingles, when Boots on the Moor told me it was an allergic reaction to knickers elastic!

Great pharmacy, great service. Nothing is too much to ask, the pharmacist in particular is very helpful and offers to help with anything I ever need
