I brought my Great Grandmothers engagement and wedding rings to have a couple of the stones fixed and the wedding ring made round again, they were able to sort the wedding ring there and then. The engagement ring, they were great calling me to let me know what was happening and it came back looking as good as new. I’m so happy in how it has come out. I have been a few time to get things fixed and resized, and every time I go in the staff are lovely.

My partner and I visited McAvoy and Beardsmore last Autumn to choose her engagement ring. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, bringing out a range of rings (both new and secondhand) for her to try and listening to her feedback to help us find the perfect ring. I rung McAvoy & Beardsmore for advice on a gift for my dad and honestly said that it wouldn't work very well due to the metal in my original pin badge. but suggested a lovely, handmade idea. The staff were and are AMAZING, professional and really thoughtful in their advice and service. They called me within a week with a quote and I went ahead with it. The commissioned piece was made in two weeks and I am so glad that they recommended their idea - it looks absolutely stunning and I cannot wait to give this to my dad for his birthday. I brought a couple of repairs here as I’d lost trust in a couple of high street jewellers and thought a more artisan approach was the way to go. A much loved and well worn necklace that had broken and a jewel set gold bracelet that had bent and lost a couple of stones. The staff were very knowledgable and kept me informed exactly when they said they would and I was more than happy with the quote. The items were repaired beautifully and on time. I am more than delighted with them both. The necklace is back where it belongs around my neck and the bracelet, well I can’t even tell which bit has been repaired. It is stunning. Thank you.
