Leeds has a new hotspot for Italian cuisine with the opening of Riva Blu at The Springs. This much-loved Italian restaurant is ready to captivate guests with its Southern Italian flavours and inviting atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from the picturesque coastal regions of Italy, Riva Blu promises a dining experience that embodies "La Dolce Vita" – the sweet life.

Authentic Italian Flavours in a Stylish Setting

Opening its doors on 1st August, Riva Blu is the latest addition to The Springs Leeds, marking the second Riva Blu location in the city. The restaurant's design features a stunning cocktail bar, an open kitchen, and an al fresco terrace, all exuding an Italian energy. With plush teal accents and a welcoming ambiance, Riva Blu offers an immersive dining experience that transports guests straight to Southern Italy.

A Menu Celebrating Southern Italy

Riva Blu's summer menu is a tribute to the diverse and rich flavours of Naples. Guests can begin their meal with a selection of authentic street food dishes perfect for sharing. Highlights include Arancini Tartufo, crispy truffle risotto balls with a smoked provola cheese core, and Caprese, featuring buffalo mozzarella, vine-ripened tomatoes, and garlic. Each dish is designed to evoke the bustling streets of Naples.

For a unique take on a traditional Italian lunch, the midday menu offers "Baciata" – Italian kissing sandwiches made with Riva Blu’s authentic Biga dough recipe. Fillings range from Caprese and Porchetta to Pollo and Melanzane Parmigiana, the latter comprising fried aubergine, tomato, mozzarella, and burrata cream.

Traditional Neapolitan Pizza and Pasta

Riva Blu celebrates the heart of Italian cuisine with its traditional Neapolitan pizzas and pastas, available with gluten-free options on request. Notable dishes include Spaghetti Con Cozze, featuring rope-grown mussels, tomatoes, garlic, and parsley, and Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina, a rich blend of buffalo mozzarella and slow-cooked tomato sauce.

Indulgent Italian Desserts

To conclude the meal, guests can indulge in decadent Italian desserts such as Pistachio Tiramisu, a unique twist on the classic tiramisu with a delightful pistachio flavour.

A Symphony of Italian Cocktails

Riva Blu’s expert mixologists craft cocktails inspired by the lively ambiance of Southern Italy. Guests can enjoy iconic aperitivos like the timeless Negroni and refreshing Aperol Spritz. The beverage menu also includes a curated selection of wines, beers, spirits, and a variety of alcohol-free alternatives, ensuring there is something for everyone.

A Warm Welcome from Individual Restaurants

Andrew Garton, CEO of Individual Restaurants, expressed his excitement about the new opening:

“We’re so happy to bring Riva Blu to The Springs. Taking the place of our restaurant, Piccolo by Piccolino, we’re happy to continue being part of The Springs’ heritage since first opening our doors in 2022 and believe Riva Blu will make the perfect addition to the retail park. As our second site offering a unique taste of Naples to Leeds, we’re thrilled to be expanding the Riva Blu family and we look forward to welcoming guests from near and far to enjoy our delicious food and drink offering, all within our stylish and welcoming restaurant.”
