Oak Tree Farm Park

I stayed at the campsite next to the pub and it was great. The toilets were regularly cleaned. There are two blocks of toilets. One that is a single cubicle with a toilet and sink, and one that has 3 toilets and urinals in it with sinks. I did find it difficult to find the most ideal space to set up as I arrived quite late in the evening, but managed to find a nice spot eventually. The food at the pub was amazing and didn't cost a fortune! I shall probably be back in the future!

Honestly love it here. I’ve been 3 times now. 2 long stays and a short one recently. The pitches are a good size and can easily fit a 8 man tent with room for a car. There’s no Wi-Fi however the service is decent so you just need to use data. The toilets are not too bad. I’ve been to some campsites where the toilets are absolute rubbish. The toilets are cleaned regularly and there aren’t many bugs. The showers do make the whole bathroom wet so maybe bring a floor towel but that’s the only real complaint. There are plenty of things to do nearby. There’s of course Pickering which is a lovely village with plenty to do, the North Yorkshire Moors are an absolutely breathtaking area and Whitby is a short drive away along with Scarborough. There’s also Dalby forest with a large amount of wonderful walks, a fun gift shop, bike hire and even a go ape for the kids. There are some gorgeous animals on site as well. There are goats, lamas/ alpacas, some Shetland pony’s, a site cat that’s friendly and some geese/ ducks, that waddle up to your tent to say hello. Even a pig. Honestly loved coming here and can’t wait for next year with the warm weather to go again. Would recommend.

Camped here for 1 night. There was no reception to check into, we got details where to camp all by email. The site isn’t big but the pitches were spacious and level. The toilet/shower area could have done with a spruce up infact the toilet seat was missing off one of the toilets. There were lamas goats, ducks, chickens. It was nice to see these on the site. The site is about a 5km walk into Pickering. But a pretty walk all the same.

Great campsite, big pitch sizes with parking, kids loved the animals roaming around and the fire pit for roasting marshmallows was a winner (wood sold onsite), 5min drive to the town of Pickering which has a lidl and co-op and only 15-20min drive to Dalby Forest

Lovely campsite with plenty of animals to keep young ones entertained. Not too far from Pickering. The site is well maintained. Should be charging more than they do!
