North Cave Indoor Bowls Centre

Excellent bowls club, accepting of all abilities! The club has weeknight internal leagues as well as external teams. The Sunday coaching session are fab and a lot of love goes into running this club! The 6 rinks are smooth and they supply lots of bowls for new starters. Great car park size, very accessible and open to old ages. Me and my partner are in our 20s and feel very welcome as there is su ch an age range! Highly recommend

This might be a biased rating since I am their daughter-in-law but being an American married to their son and being totally new to this type of sport, I can easily say Eileen and Maurice are truly very pleasant to their customers who they treat all as friends. This is a must try sport for all ages and Maurice is very willing to help teach you how the game is played. This is a place for people to make friends to last a lifetime and to have a night of fun at reasonable rates. Eileen is very good at catering to all the food items and she makes a lot of the items herself. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. North Cave Bowls Centre is definitely unique to other Bowls Centres, it is one of a kind! Eileen and Maurice Hebden make you feel welcome and comfortable in your surroundings. They serve sit down meals on special nights a couple of times a month during bowls league season and during off season so you can have a nice meal with your friends if you don’t have a spouse or loved one to enjoy a meal with. They close for six weeks from the end of July to the beginning of September to do a thorough cleaning of the entire place and make any renovations or repairs needed for the new league season that starts in September. They are open 7 days a week during league season and Tuesdays and Thursdays during off season. I cannot say enough good things about them and their club, you must try it out yourself whether you live in England or you are traveling through the country!!

I have been playing at this club for 17 years and generally it is a good basic indoor bowling venue however I feel that it would benefit from some updates and moderisation as very little has been done in the time I have been going.

A great place to meet new people, & enjoy a really good game of indoor bowls. Competitions & social events with other clubs make for a good all round experience. New bowlers with no experience receive great tuition.

A great experience every time at North Cave Indoor Bowls centre. There are six indoor rinks, plenty of parking and good facilities including a drinks licence. You can play for a while stop for tea and snacks then play on. Maurice and Eileen who run the centre could not be more welcoming and helpful.
