10/10, perfect bed and breakfast, absolutely faultless. Warm welcome, warm rooms, super comfortable bed and wonderful shower! Breakfast is superb, fresh ingredients cooked for whatever time you request the night before, no waiting around, it’s brought to you soon as you arrive to the breakfast room. Hosts are wonderful and attentive, with any advice you want for the local area. We ventured on an autumn walk around Fountains Abbey which was stunning, then back to the homely warmth of The Old Coach House - will definitely be back!

We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at the Old Coach House. Beautiful hotel surroundings and grounds, very country just to our taste! Neil one of the team, was excellent from the minute we arrived very friendly & welcoming . Neil was lovely to chat to as well, and gave us some good recommendations. One of them being a nearby pub to try for our evening meal - the Millbank Arms. ( about 4 miles away - West Tansfied next town ) A great cosy pub with a range of food choices. We also found in West Tanfield the little quaint village grocery shop for essentials. Our room was very spacious, decor to a high standard and even a super king size bed. It was worth the extra to upgrade to the premier room. We had such a nice view over the courtyard, and due to there being 8 rooms noise is minimal & very tranquil. It made the stay more personable too. Breakfast was delicious, hot and plentiful. Full English, but also choice of cereal/ fruits / toasts. I even had a little glass bottle of Oat milk ready for me at our table, after declaring my cows milk allergy. Overall an excellent place to stay, good base for walking & exploring. The staff really make it special and memorable as well. Thanks so much x ❣️🌸❣️

The Old Coach House is a gorgeous b&b in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. The rooms were fabulous, and every little detail had been thought of to make us welcome. The bed was extremely comfortable. And the breakfast was delicious!! I only regret we didn't stay longer.

What a beautiful B&B. In a lovely location, the hosts communicated fabulously from the moment we booked, and were so welcoming throughout our entire stay. We had a premier double and a deluxe double - both were really cosy and of an equivalent decor and finish, the premier however had more space and some extra goodies. Note that our premier had a shower over the bath whilst the deluxe had a shower cubicle which I prefer. Breakfast was delicious and of a high quality. I would not hesitate to recommend or stay again if in the area.

We stayed here back in April on short notice after a day exploring Fountains Abbey. The room was comfortable and clean. It was a briskly cold day and if memory serves me the room had heated floors and was quite cozy. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was quite nice and prepared to order. It provided a perfect rest for our travels to the north. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
