A warm, and welcoming church. We visited at Christmas and New year, which is always a little different from the rest of the year. There were around two hundred people of all ages, all actively taking part in the service. The Christmas special was a good mix of traditional and contemporary service elements. There was a christingle candle lighting, and a retelling of the Nativity with chocolate, everybody lives chocolate, Across the two services we attended they had different people involved in the leading of the services. For a small Yorkshire town it was surprising to see a fair few people from other countries in the congregation. The congregation also draws from many of the villagers and towns nearby. The music was mainly contemporary, and I could not identify the Bible version used, but it was one of the newer translations. Being a seasonal time when we visited it would be impossible to make any theological assessment of the preaching in general, but from what we hear they are fairly sound. There was a well organised welcome team on arrival, and the same team was on hand afterwards, with tea, coffee etc. The foyer also had a missions stand, where you could catch up on missions the church supports. There are limited parking spaces directly in front of the church, but there is plenty of roadside parking. If you are parking in the church parking area be careful as it can be difficult to enter/exit into traffic, and there is no separate pedestrian access to the building. Overall a church to be recommended.

A sad departure from Christianity. Wonderfully friendly people. Sadly the teaching and culture is taken from the world rather than the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles. Great for social life and community. Not at all good for living in the Kingdom.

Lively evangelical church with a great age range from babies to very elderly. Active kids and youth work as well as good connections with the local community. Currently still using Covid precautions to encourage the more anxious and vulnerable to attend, but also live-streaming the service on YouTube every week. Check out the website.
