All Saints Northallerton is a parish church initially built in the 9th century, though there have been many changes to the building since. The current building is said to be a proud mixture of all centuries leading up to the current one. There are parking spaces directly outside the church, but no specific disability parking spaces. The entrance is mostly level and includes no stairs. There is an accessible toilet available. Visited during their Christmas Tree Festival and definitely worth a visit if in the area
Whenever I visit somewhere new I like to explore a local church as I love stained glass and the architecture. This church really stands out-it’s a lovely, warm and welcoming environment. Sadly there are only a few examples of stained glass windows remaining, but the church boasts beautiful stonework and examples of Robert “Mouse Man”Thompson’s carvings. The pews are long gone creating a fantastic space for community events. I wasn’t able to spend very long in the church but really enjoyed my visit.
Nice choices of different Services…enjoy the Café Church 9 am Sunday…uplifting music, etc. Friendly community!
