As a recent newcomer to Northallerton, I was pleasantly surprised to find this venue in the town and can't believe we didn't come sooner! We planned to go bowling on New Year's Eve and only got in touch with King Pin Bowl a few days beforehand via email. However, not only did we get a prompt response from Niamh, they were able to fit us in for 2 games on one of the busiest nights of the year, which was very much appreciated. The bowling alley itself is upstairs and is brilliantly decorated, certainly gives that classic bowling alley feel. There was a 5 minute overrun with our lane when we arrived but this wasn't a problem. The lane was all set up for us and there were plenty of bowling balls to go across all 6 lanes. We also had a drink and look around Hustlers Sports Bar downstairs - again, liked the decoration and plenty of games to keep you entertained. The only downsides of our visit was some cleanliness issues (primarily sticky tables), some disruptive customers sharing our seating area and that the entrance hasn't received the same decorative touch as the rest of the building. Just doesn't look as inviting on entry as it does throughout the rest of the building! However, we would definitely return and book again.
This was a superb venue for bowling, with a very modern design! The lanes encompass many different bright colours, counter is manned properly by staff and they are nice.
Kingpin and hustlers are both brilliant spots, amazing service, brilliant games, great day out! 👍
Well worth the visit, there is also a sports bar downstairs with loads of different games to play. Highly recommended
If I could leave 0 stars I would. Just rang to see what time they were open as couldnt find opening hours anywhere to be greeted by a rude man who said ‘dont know’ and then hung up. This behaviour isnt uncommon with this member of staff as you never know what you’ll get with him. Absolutely disgraceful considering how much money me and my family have spent there since they’ve opened
