Just had the best Sunday lunch!! Absolutely delicious and lots of it. A family of 4 and we didn't have room for dessert. Maybe next time. See you again soon.

Enjoyed a Sunday lunch by the open fire with our dogs. A lovely traditional pub, with lovely period features. Very cosy, very dog friendly with treats and water provided. Sunday lunch was tasty and generous and really well priced (£12.50 a meal). Wine was nice and the beer on tap is a good selection, not sure what people are on about with “over priced drinks”, it was very well priced despite costs increasing. It was £45 for two meals, two desserts, two really large wines, and two pints. Paid £56 in Saltburn a week prior for two main meals and two drinks. Handmade churros were yummy, and the Sticky Toffee Pudding was the best we’ve ever had, including Burtree Puddings. Delicious!

Stopped for a coffee and cake. A very friendly, lovely old hotel with comfortable surroundings. Outside space to sit. They do a lot for community (kids parties) and have lots of great food events! Beautiful Sunday dinners if you are passing on a Sunday.

This place has never changed, typical English pub, all the men lined up at the bar before heading home, my kind of place, had a drink with my Uncle and could have a conversation with yelling to hear each other. The bar man was really funny, not sure if he was trying to be, but I liked him.
