Worth seeking out if you like pubs serving well kept cask ale. Check opening times if calling during the day.

Cannot rate this pub enough. Burly is the most friendly publican I have met. Him and his staff are fast, friendly and helpful. As for the beers, can't go wrong including inches cider, fosters, Beaverton Neck oil (best beer on the market), Cruzcampo (best lager on the market) and many others. Food was gorgeous and a great pub atmosphere. Well worth a visit and I will be going back.

Friday afternoon in Northallerton, this pub was at the beginning of our walk so we called in for lunch. Beer good and really enjoyed our Ploughman's.
