Delicious food, didn't come as we ordered and staff could be more efficient but overall a nice lunch. I ordered the bacon brie and red currant jelly panini, it was super tasty. My mum and sister both asked for no salad/garnish but both plates came with it, completely ignored. Theoretically a simple fix but had to ask staff for an extra plate to move things about as the plates they served were tiny and crammed with food (half of which they didn't want!) My hot chocolate was spilled upon delivery, easy mistake as the cup was massive with an extremely generous dollop of whipped cream, 2 flakes, flake sprinkles and a mound of mini marshmallows, (so delicious) but this made it a bit messy and our extremely apologetic waitress spilled some chocolate on one of us. These things happen, but overall got the sense the waiting staff weren't very experienced. Friendly, but could be more efficient as I said. Also we happened to sit under a patch of ceiling that had a hole in it, didn't notice until I got dripped on. Nice decor other than that and didn't have to wait long for food. What we had was delicious. Quite an extensive menu too although they had ran out of our first choices of jacket potatoes and soup. Nice enough place, did the job.
The battered fish and chips was great. More expensive than traditional fish and chips shops but not that much more at about £15. And the quality of the fish is vastly better and the fish is a nice large size so well worth it. Lighting is a little dim, it's a little quiet inside, but staff are friendly and was a great meal out. Would definitely come again and try other offerings
Been going for years for breakfast and today for some reason ordered full english with no mushrooms,it arrived 25 minutes later with mushrooms and no beans, black pudding. Question to staff replying with menu has changed and beans and black pudding are extra, this with the constant hovering and miserable staff was enough.
We planned a visit to Northallerton in the 13th December and booked a table for a Christmas treat for 4 people. We ordered Christmas dinner and a chicken burger! One word.. cold.. and the response was, oh yes we have a few complaints saying the same thing, oh..
Just got fish and chips from here with a bread roll! You could not have got a smaller bread roll! Lucky to get a chip inside! Won’t be returning
