Came for lunch, ordered Nasi Goreng and tapas; harissa chicken, squid and lamb kofte. Side of fries and sweet potato fries. All was really tastey, good portion size too and value for money. Lovely atmosphere and outdoor seating area. Friendly and attentive waiter too! Would recommend!
Just had the nicest meal. Well done to the chef. The service however was so bad. The young women behind the bar was so miserable and sullen. My husband asked her if she enjoyed her job and she said it was alright, mentioned she'd been there from 10am, now 9pm. Whoever manages this place, clearly doesn't manage it well and needs to sort this out. If your staff are not happy then it filters down to the customers
The Ontano Lounge is right in the centre of Northallerton close to Barkers department store. They have a varied menu from all day brunch, burgers with a wonderful tapas menu. Extensive drinks options it’s a wonderful place to catch up with friends and family. Staff are always super friendly and attentive and I love the order from seat option. Food is always delicious and well presented. There are lounges all across the UK but what I love about them is they are all different and unique in design and layout. Highly recommended!
Meets the tricky balance in catering for a wide range of ages, group sizes, and occasions. They provide from breakfast onwards, including just dropping in for a coffee. The interior is quirky and cool, and adds a certain something. The food is good and offers fresh, vegan choices too. The staff are great. And it opens new years day when most places are closed. Plus, it is dog friendly and not in the least bit fussy or pretentious. A gem on the high Street.
