Visited the lion of Asia with friends and our children, it was friends who recommended we go here. The food was 10/10, I had the mixed tikka chef special and a naan bread, absolutely delicious very authentic cuisine. The restaurant had an old feel to it which was nice as it set that traditional vibe, it was very clean. Our host was a lovely guy, very welcoming, friendly and professional he took the time to explain the different dishes to my friend. It seems to be a family run restaurant which was lovely, everyone very friendly. I thanked the chef personally for my dish as I’ve not found one up North quite as authentic than this. Very impressive, highly recommend 👏❤️

Entrance is up quite a dark, narrow, dingy lane and then up quite steep stairs to the restaurant which had basic decor. The restaurant was very quiet when we visited but we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service was good too.

Abusive aggressive staff. You abused my girlfriend who only came to order a takeaway and was accused of flirting with a weed of a man who supposedly runs the place and shops at baby gap. Hearing this from an opposite better takeaway around the corner I confronted the staff who later on got more aggressive and took his baby gap top off to fight me and then got his “girlfriend” to then assault my girlfriend when standing her ground. All of which was recorded on my girlfriend’s phone. The place wants shutting down and the people in question want locking up. Absolute joke of a place. I sincerely hope justice is done here and we will never be coming back. So please please don’t entertain this place and order from anywhere else but here. It is disgusting!

It’s not somewhere you take someone you like .. portions were small and food the worst I’ve ever had for a sit down meal out . They need a new chef …The restaurant itself is dark and dingy. looks like it’s not been decorated in 30 years … only one toilet that is disgusting ….one to Avoid sorry 😞
