Recently changed to ANPR but the machines are confusing. I assumed it was pay on return to the vehicle as when I initially went to the machine on arrival and put in the registration it was only charging £1 and the sign said pay before exiting the car park. I therefore assumed that it would work out how much to pay when we returned. When I went back to the machine later, it still said £1 and I spotted the option to add time so it seems that pay on exit means pay when you leave your car which isn’t clear from the sign. I paid for the correct amount of time that we used (£3.50) and will keep fingers crossed that we don’t get a parking fine. I have kept the receipt.

DO NOT USE THIS CAR PARK After being away in Spain for 6 weeks we returned home with parking demands from Parking Eye saying they would take us to court if we didn't pay. We did pay by Applepay but the machine would not let us pay more than £2. A notice said payment was required before exiting which we tried to do when we went to the cinema. The notice is ambiguous and the process is not user friendly. We are having to pay £130. We will not return and suggest nobody uses this car park. The old system with the man taking payment worked very well. Parking eye should not be supported.

PARKING EYE.... Be absolutely 100% certain you have done everything properly. These people are above the law. If you mess up or make a mistake (even if their machine is at fault) don’t expect decency, or justice in any way shape or form. I did everything expected and even heard the payment ’ping’ as I presented my contactless phone. Was issued a ticked that I threw onto my dash without looking: turned out it had ‘void transaction’ on the ticket! I refused to pay them as I believe their machine was at fault for not taking my money. I have yet to hear from POPLA. I don’t expect anything but profiteering from them however. I will have my day in Court in front of a ‘genuine’ neutral judge! The land owners should be more selective with who they do business with.

DO NOT park in this car park the payment machine is difficult to use for starters, then when I finally worked it out and paid for a 3 HR ticket at £2.60 a week later I had a parking fine through the post saying I had been parked up for 2hrs 15, tried to contact them as I still have the ticket by the phone number on the letter but just kept cutting off, you have to wright to them to appeal which could take forever in which time the fine will go up to £100. Total rip off company.
