Just purchased a car from stoneacre Northallerton and had the pleasure of dealing with Luke who made the whole process very easy. Within one working day we were able to drive the car of the forecourt. Would definitely recommend to anybody.
After buying a car from the Thirsk branch and also purchasing the lifeline gaurantee for the car costing me a extra £1000, a few issues came up with the car i felt needed attention. I decided to ring the Northallerton branch as it was closer to me and i asked if i could book it in with them, there answer was no you need to take it back to Thirsk. Phoned Thirsk and they booked it in no problem, but i asked Thirsk branch why i couldnt use Northallerton and there answer was, there is no reason why you carnt. So i phoned Northallerton for the second time and explained this and they finally booked it in. When i finally took the car in first thing in the morning they told me they would do a safety check and ring me after it, Well no one called me back to update me. I booked the car in for about 4 issues, Sensor?/Dash lights going off?/low voltage code on glow plug?/bulb fault light coming on even though i told them bulbs and fuses where working. Well after waiting all day and them closing soon and no one contacting me i decided i needed to call them as it was a 30 minute walk for me to collect the car if needed before they close. They told me yes come and collect your car and they were happy there was no issues with the car except fault light on when in reverse. When i got there i asked them have you checked everything i asked and they said they did a scan and they found no fault codes so there was nothing for them to check. Unless they find a fault code they is nothing they can do which i accept on sensor and glow plug. So i asked if there fixed the electrical issue with fault bulb on dashboard. There answer was no there dont fix electrical issues like this as they are a Toyota garage and my car i bought from them is a Audi. So then i mentioned i payed a £1000 for your lifeline guarantee which states it covers all mechanical and electrical components. Sorry they said we are not set up to test or check here and you'd have to take it to vw/audi dealership. So then they asked me to pay the bill of £144 for diagnostic scan even though they sent me home with a car that still has a fault bulb on dashboard that show up when in reverse and the dash lights that come on and off at random. So they had my car all day and just did a diagnostic scan which i can do with my own obd reader in 10 minutes. They spent no time looking at what the possible electrical problem could be at all. Soon as i drove car out of there garage the dash lights not coming on and when put in reverse warning bulb light comes on. So my main complaint is i payed £1000 for a miss sold lifeline guarantee with stoneacre that doesnt cover my electricle problems at stoneacres garages and it clearly states in my policy that all mechanical and electrical components are covered. And the fact they charged me £144 yet send me home with a car that still has electrical issues i reported to them is shocking when clearly its stated im covered for in my policy. I'm honestly going to get onto trading standards over this one and the fact i have a lifeline guarantee which seems pointless if it doesn't cover what it says with Stoneacre garages themselves. Yet i have to get my car serviced with them to keep my lifeline guarantee active is a joke considering they dont live up to the policy itself. And the fact they still billed me even though they didn't fix what my lifeline guarantee says it would shows to me they don't care about the customer and for anyone thinking of buying the lifeline guarantee DONT. How can they sell you a lifeline guarantee that they are not set up to check or fix themselves like electrical issues etc. Sure that's a miss sold policy that i will be looking into because i don't want this guarantee anymore as i dont want to have to use STONEACRE to get my car serviced for the next 3 years. Infact i don't want to use stoneacre again after this except they have me tied down with this faulse policy they sold me that ties me down for next 3 years to have all my services done with them.
Fab service I realy was unsure of what to car to get they have a few stone acres which you can have a search online all over but I seen this Kia Sportage 2021 plate At Northalerton and i was reassured it was a really good buy with having 4 months warranty still they serviced it and made sure it was right before it left the garage I also got a phone call in a week to make sure I was happy with my purchase. Which I’m sure you wouldn’t get else wear couldn’t recommend more for a trustworthy company be sure to say eve and Nathan Thompson recommended you when buying a car ☺️
Recent service couldn’t fault them , kept us informed every step of the way. Follow up calls to ensure we were satisfied. We have just moved into the area and feel content our car is in safe and reliable hands.
Excellent experience with Luke Stockdale at Stoneacre buying a brand new Toyata Yaris Cross. After many other experiences with other salespeople Luke stood out in his helpfulness and efficieny. This involved a part-exchange and a 250 mile drop off of the new car and the pick up of our used car. We believe we got the best deal across the country and Luke provided the best experience we could get. Thoroughly recommended.
