The in house physiotherapist is excellent. He took time to understand the issue and conducted a thorough investigation to determine the symptoms. His conclusion went much further than the GP’s earlier diagnosis and confirmed what I had researched earlier( but hadn’t shared ) . The programme I was given was comprehensive and handily on an app on my phone . I was determined to do everything possible to get better and 10 weeks later ( and pushing through the initial pain) I am amazed at the results and improvement.
I saw the GP on time. He listened to my concerns followed by an examination. We then discussed the best way forwards to treat my problem. At no time did I feel rushed . Very pleased with outcome of the appointment.
We have always had a positive experience with Mayford House Surgery we have been going there since 2008. Receptionist nurses doctors + pharmacist have always been helpful. Must admit we are not frequent visitors .
Rarely have to attend the GP surgery however as I am now pregnant it is recommended to get vaccines at certain stages throughout pregnancy. I have booked in for 2 separate vaccines at 2 different times and on both occasions both appointments have been cancelled. I have no trust in this surgery at all
I had a complex issue that required my GP to liaise with the MOD, who required the GP to answer very basic questions. Response from the GP was to call me directly to tell me that I requested info ( I didn't MOD did) and that it would be better to give me my records and for me to forward them to the MOD (who already had them) due to concerns of them retrieving associated costs. MOD are routinely in touch with medical practises up and down the country as they require the GPs opinion on certain matters, their time and efforts are recognised and renumerated by MOD. What mattered to this clinic was their money. I was even told I may be liable for costs if they were unable to retrieve them from MOD. This despite them being a veterans friendly accredited GP clinic. SHAMEFUL
