My car was booked in late Sunday for its service and MOT the following Tuesday and I genuinely couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I booked in, the team were friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful. Everything was explained clearly, there were no unexpected surprises, and the communication throughout was spot on. The work was completed on time, the pricing was totally fair, and my car now feels better than it has in ages. You can tell they take pride in what they do — honest advice, quality workmanship, and a real focus on customer care. It’s rare to find a garage you can trust completely, but these guys have absolutely earned it. I’ll definitely be returning and won’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, genuinely brilliant service.

Initially I thought I had made a mistake by booking in with Halfords Northallerton as I received a very cold and indifferent ‘welcome’ by a young man who gave the impression that he’d rather not be there and didn’t really care about me or my car. After leaving my car I almost walked back in to try and cancel the work. Fortunately, the people I dealt with after that (on the phone when informing me my car was ready for collection and to arrange break repairs) and then the lady who I saw when I returned to collect my vehicle at the end of the day were much more professional, personable and friendly. I was very happy with the service I received in the end after an extremely poor start!

Great service for replacement tyres. Lady on the desk was efficient and friendly. We discovered a noise after driving away & went back an hour later to get it checked out. The lady quickly inspected, diagnosed the issue & ensured a speedy resolution (repositioning a guard that had got knocked). All done in a professional and friendly way. Thank you.

Usual friendly service from Halfords Northallerton. MOT done in a timely manner. Contacted by them to tell me all was completed. Will continue to use them.

Place is a joke. Was booked for yesterday only to find someone was sick and they couldn’t do it, which is fair enough! Went back today and had booked a time and paid for in advance. Surely booking a time means it will roughly be done at the time and you shouldn’t have to wait all day for getting your car back. When I arrived 3 cars were on the ramps but nobody who works there were visible. Surely with a back log of cars they would be working hard to catch up and keep their custom by giving good customer service! Will not be going back here, happy to drive 30 mins away for better customer service!
