Saks Hair Northallerton

My daughter and I had such a lovely experience at the salon. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome — the team went out of their way to make my little girl feel special. She was even offered a hot chocolate with marshmallows, which absolutely made her day! Alex and Niamh were both wonderful with her, really patient and kind. They even made adjustments so she could have her hair washed next to me, which was such a thoughtful touch. Her haircut was great and she came away feeling so proud and confident. My own stylist was fantastic too — she really listened to what I wanted, explained everything clearly, and made great suggestions without being pushy. She mentioned extensions (which I’ve had before, though not at Saks) but was very understanding when I explained why I wouldn’t continue with them. I actually appreciated that she handled it so gracefully — a lovely example for my daughter that it’s okay to love the hair you’re given! The treatment (I think it was called Kerasomething!) was brilliant — my hair feels and looks so much healthier. If I had to give any feedback, it would be that the salon itself could do with a little TLC — a missing shelf in front of one of the mirrors and steamed-up windows gave it a slightly tired look. That said, the atmosphere was warm, busy, and friendly. The only real surprise was the price — £101 for less than an hour (a wash, cut, and blow dry for us both, plus my treatment). Maybe I’m just out of touch with salon prices, but it did feel on the expensive side. Overall though, we left feeling pampered and happy — a lovely experience, especially for my daughter. 💇‍♀️💖

Couldn’t be happier with my hair. I have wanted my hair to look like this for years, but other hairdressers couldn’t achieve it / wouldn’t listen to what I wanted. Sophia took so much time listening to what I was hoping to achieve and perfecting the colour / cut. I literally couldn’t be happier with the results! My colour and layers blend perfectly, and absolutely love how she styled it at the end. Niamh washed my hair, and also took so much time making sure I was comfortable and gave the most relaxing head massage! Lizzy brings such a lovely vibe to the salon and makes sure you have everything you need! She also ran out to put another parking ticket on my car for me! Everyone in the salon are so welcoming. I couldn’t recommend more!

I absolutely love my new hairstyle! Erin is so talented and utterly professional. I highly recommend her.. She took her time to discuss what I wanted and took great care with the cut and styling whilst being efficient, friendly and engaging. All the staff are friendly and welcoming in this beautiful salon and all in all it was a great experience. Thank you!

My first visit today..I always get nervous visiting a new salon but I worried for nothing. Alex knew exactly what I wanted.. excellent service from start to finish. Lovely warm atmosphere. Over the moon with my cut..super shiny thanks to Kerastase products as well. Very happy.

You will always leave the salon feeling amazing and confident after Alex has styled your hair whatever you have done. She is very knowledgeable, gives great advice and suggestions for your hair and maintaining its long term care too. Can’t thank her enough for transforming my hair since I moved to the area a year ago and was lucky enough to find Saks. Alex is always fun and great to chat with. All the team are brilliant and you will receive a warm and friendly welcome. Emily does a great job hair washes and a very relaxing scalp massage! Just what you need. Thank you All.
