I have just seen on the news about the Skate Park and I am in support of the local community wishing to keep the Skate Park and I hope that the volunteers who are helping in this project gain support from the Council and Community. Skate Boarding is now being recognised as an Olympic sport, and this kind of facility should be supported to further young people to achieve their dreams. Our Local Councillor here in South Yorkshire, together with another Councillor allocated the Government Allocation monies to introduce a small skate park within a larger park space, after listening to the local youngsters. I wonder if the organisation has thought of "Crowdfunding" to ensure that the Skate Park keeps up with repairs or renewal in case the Local Council lets them down in funding.
